Discover the elegance of the Gaiwan, a centuries-old Chinese tea vessel where thoughtful design and ritual come together in perfect harmony.  This talk explores the rich history, purposeful form, and the refined gaiwan brewing method that continues to shape the art of tea today.

BYOG - If you have one, please bring your own gaiwan to try your hand at steeping tea the gaiwan way.  Extra gaiwans will be available for those who are new to brewing tea this way.

Linda is a Toronto-based Tea Sommelier and Chair of the Tea Guild of Canada.  She is author of the international bestselling, and award-winning "The Tea Book", a world tour or the art of tea.  Linda has been instructor of the George Brown College Tea Sommelier Program for the past 3 years.  While tea education is her primary calling, Linda also appears in media interviews, hosts tea events and is a consultant and spokesperson for the food and beverage industry.
